Sir Oz

Sir Oz or Oz as he is known on the DC music scene, has been around rhythm and drumming for quite some time. One year when his father gave him a pair of drum sticks and a snare drum for Christmas he knew he wanted to know all he could about drumming.

Growing up in Southern Maryland, Oz was 15 minutes from the Washington, DC music scene. This gave him access to Funk, R&B, Rock, Jazz, and Gospel music. At age 18 Oz was hired to play drums for a number of local bands in Maryland and DC. A few of the bands include The Chosen Few (Funk and R&B), The Ignition (Jazz), Stattus (Reggae), Sollers United Voices of Praise (Gospel).

Oz has a very wide range of influences when it comes to his style of playing. A few of those influences include Led Zeppelin, Dave Matthews Band, Bob Marley, Sade, Parliament Funkadelic, and the list continues. He is one man whose heart beats to the sound of a drum.
